First mobility to Turkey
From the 23rd - 27th May, first mobility within the project STEM was accomplished. The host was Turkey, content "Welcome to my Tech World".The first international exchange held in Turkey "Welcome to my tech world!", had the main objective of introducing participants to the project topics through a discussion, based on participants’ direct experience, on the state of the art of technology and its current use in European teaching. The specific objectives of LTTA C1 were:
-deepening pupils’ awareness in the technological field, in order to enhance their basic school knowledge;
-stimulating curiosity towards STEM disciplines and more technological subjects;
-enhancing soft skills such as communication and cultural awareness as well as interest towards language learning.
The exchange was attended only by Lithuanian, Slovenian, and Turkish participants (UK partner was missing on this mobility): 10 participants (5 from each Sending School, and 5 local students) and 4 accompanying teachers (2 from each partner School) . The duration of the mobility in total was 7 days (2 destined to travel arrangements from and to the hosting country; 5 to the development of learning and training activities).
This mobility to Turkey (C1) had the following program:
• 1st day - Welcome Activities: presentation of the hosting School, welcoming of foreign students, and introduction of the partner Schools participating in the LTTA;
• 2nd day - Technological Advancement, where are we at?: through PowerPoint presentations, videos and articles, pupils will investigate the use of technology in
their own country and how they use it in their learning routine;
• 3rd day - Europe and Technology: round tables with students, policymakers, professionals, and European training organizations to discuss the role played by
technology in the world of school education;
• 4th day - Face to Face with Technology: visit school equipment and laboratories with practical lessons on the topic;
• 5th day – Moments of Cultural Exchange with the involvement of the classes involved in the project.
